With such a large amount of business people from solicitors to
bankers and accountants, it is quite hard to eat cheaply in
Frankfurt. But when one does his homework, one can find great value
restaurants around the city. For example the Indian Curry House
near the Hauptbahnhof, Manyola and La Habana in the Nordend district
as well as the China Haus Chui in the heart of the city centre.
When its local German cuisine, try the Zum Jodler in Sachsenhausen
and Windows 25 in the centre of the city, as well as Niddastubchen
or Max and Moritz at the Bahnhof. The Marche Movenpick in the Zeilgalerie
is ideal and offers a great choice of fresh dishes that is excellent
value.
With Business people rushing round between 1pm and 2pm, the snack
industry has to cater to keep this market on the run, where a
lot of them are under the mantra of - time is money. From Kebab
houses, pizza parlours, sushi, sandwich houses Frankfurt has
it all. The Sushi am Main is popular if you are into sushi that
is. Also the Persian snack house Rendezvous and Maggi Koch Studio
are great. For the more gourmet fan, head towards Frankfurter
Hof on Kaiser Strasse or even at Fressgass beside the Opera House, which
is like a gourmet Mecca.
