Caught between a trend and a traditional divide this district
has old world cider bars, trendy modern pubs, top class boutiques
and small corners shops to attract a whole diverse clientele.
Berger Strasse is at the heart of this quarter and its top class
for shopping. For entertainment try the Mousonturm or the Berger
Cinema. For peace and quiet, try the Chinese Garden or even the
Ice Rink for some high- energy activity. There is also a festival
that occurs twice yearly which is called the Dippemess Festival
and it is guaranteed to entertain the socks off you.
Hochst:
This district gave its name to the paint factory that’s world
famous and was incorporated into the town in 1927. This old town,
as well as the Bolongaro Palace are located on the Nidda estuary
and are undergoing a make- over since the 70’s. The new Theatre,
Neues Theater Hochst is a popular centre that has a children’s
theatre and also a cabaret along with comedy performances as well
as artistic performances that take place in the Jahrhundert Halle.
The main highlight for this district in the entertainment calendar
is the Schloss und Altstadt Fest during the summer time.
